Re: Food Allergies
I have always been allergic to penecillin, to the point where, because cows were treaed with it, I couldn't tolerate any dairy products at all, as the years have gone by, I could drink milk by about 5 years, butter by 11, yoghurt by 25, pizza with very little cheddar by 35, and now I can have mild cheddar, but has to be on cottage pie or something, I didn't like any of the above for certain lengths of time, and still can't stand strong cheese cooking, makes me vomit!

Re: Food Allergies
I have no problems with reactions to foods (if they are pesticide free)
I do have sinus and 'nasal lining' problems with inhaled irritants.
We are exposed to chemical bombarment in our daily lives. A reaction may suddenly appear after a lifetime of cumulative exposure.
The food allergies could be an ingestion of chemical by the animal you are eating and the pesticides and weed killers used in crop growing

Re: Food Allergies
Was allergic when i was a baby to milk - when i was born i lost weight instead of putting it on in the end it was the doc who came in to see bro who had been ill, took one look at me when mum was trying to feed me with newspapers spread all around cos i threw everything back up and i did right over him and he said i was allergic to milk and gave mum a prescription for something called allergalac and i thrived on that. Now drink milk in brews, eat cheese like its going out of fashion, it dont bother me.
Otherwise im fine - not allergic to anything food wise. Cant use bubble bath, shower gel the stuff you get in gift packs etc because that brings me out in lumps - but yet i can use body shops glycerine soap that is perfumed, can use perfume but the other stuff no way.

Re: Food Allergies
Panther if possible can you make sure he carries a card for warning people (we now use latex free equipment) just in case he has a wound and someone has only got latex gloves and he is not able to talk for whatever reason....
In fact it might be a good idea for those who have allergies to carry a warning too....

Re: Food Allergies
I'm not allergic to any foods, although when I was a kid I once ate so many bananas in that I brought myself out in a rash!!! I am however allergic to make-up, even the hypoallergenic stuff, I go red and blotchy, and extremely hot and itchy, not good!!!
Just found out our 20 week old daughter Emily is intolerent to dairy produce, kinda explains why she was throwing up loads of her milk, always had a tummy ache and has had a cold since she was born (which has now gone!!!), after a brief chat with the midwife I put her on infasoy and now I have a completely different child!!! Now she doesn't cry loads coz shes got tummy ache and she doesn't need burping constantly, also we've suddenly gone very wriggly and smiley!!! Brilliant!!

Yes, you can I have.
I used to have drink lots of milk as a child but I have developed a terrible intolerance to it over the last 2 years.
I also have problems with: Wheat, gluten, soya, oranges, strawberies, almonds, caffeine and lots of other food stuffs. Oh, and I am vegetarian!

You will probably find that make up which is totally free from petrochemicals will be fine.
Even Body Shop stuff contains 'nasties'
Consider these-
Face | Make Up & Organic Cosmetics | Beauty Products | So Organic
