Suprised you've got time to post on here.

You've got four miles per hour to do, or do they let you off at night?

Merry Christmas, at what must be a hard time of year for you.

Postmen have my every sympathy all year round but even more so at Christmas.

One of my relatives did that job for 20 years and it's damn hard work.

Postman Pat has a lot to answer for, making folk think it's an easy job. Having us believe that they take out only one bag of mail a day and deliver it at their leisure, pootling round and stopping to chat and drink tea with everyone they meet along the way. Even the finding time to look for people's lost wedding rings in a magpie's nest!

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth and it's getting worse.

Re: For all those who aint posted their xmas cards yet

well im contracted to work 35 hours a week which is what i do.
i work till about 1.45 thats with not having my break. i must add were not allowed to leave the office till 9.45 now management orders! so thats the main reason why were so late.
though now when full time post people leave for what ever reason they replace them with 22.5 hour post people which means we have to prepare two walks in a morning now; as well as sort all the mail that comes in which takes a hell of a lot longer now as the numbers of sorters have dwindled because of this.
The 22.5 hour staff are supossed to just come and take the walk out, though due to things like sickness there walks arent ready so when they arrive they have to try and prep there walk which they have no real skill at which has a knock on to there delivery time. which explains the 5 oclock delivery.
i feel sorry for these guys but on the other hand they are raking it in with the overtime, so what is supossed to be cost cutting is actually costing the office more go figure.

and dont believe everything you read about the mail dropping off we still have to deliver every letter and i personally have to sort all tnt and the likes letters they basically are a very expensive post box thats killing our buisness.
while im ranting on lol, countries like france and germany have seen what opening competiton up has done to the rolls royce postal service as it was know before all this eu crap started and have refused to allow the same to happen to them.

yes also while im writing this i have an extremly sore back as i went for a right crack on someones drive yesterday though it was very funny to see(i felt like the robber from home alone)i can hardly move now hope the heat rub works for tommorrow lol
