Not all kids are bad uns, we tend to tar them all with the same brush. Bet their parents are proud of them and quite rightly so.

Re: gang of youths

It's good to see the teenagers help the young lad. Hope they come forward and give a description so they can catch the bloke - that way he wont be able to try to abduct another kid. Hope they do catch him soon.

Let's hope they come forward and can give the police a discription of the man and that he gets caught.

Your right there cashy, it only takes one bad Apple to taint the rest of them, there are far more good kid's than bad, and after all it's all a'growing up' process we have all had.

Re: gang of youths

Brill story. i mean the fact they've got a description of these lads on there as tracksuit wearing lads just shows its never what it seems.

A MAN tried to abduct an eight-year-old boy from a Glasgow street - in broad daylight.

The terrified boy was only saved when a gang of youths came to his rescue and chased the would-be abductor away.

Police today appealed for help in catching the man amid fears that he might strike again and target another youngster.

The little boy's ordeal began around 4.45pm yesterday as he was walking alone in Househillmuir Road, near to Freeland Drive in Pollok.

He was grabbed from behind by a man who tried to drag him away. But when the boy screamed for help, a group of teenagers chased the man.

Police said the four youths were all aged around 18 and were wearing tracksuits.

Officers have appealed for them to come forward.

Sergeant Jane Lawson from Pollok CID said today: "The young boy has been badly shaken-up by this incident and it's important we get this man.

"We would like to speak to the four young men who came to help so that we can get a full description of the suspect."
