I am sure Garinda would make an excellent Press Secretary for PB, at least his press releases would be much more interesting.

An theres people that are much more vocal in person about PB. For one, in the two times I've met Graham Jones I've not heard him shut up about Britcliffe all night! Ultimate advertisement!

No claytonender, I was totally against the Poll Tax as it was implemented, the idea was sound, that everyone pays for the services they use, and that the poorest in society could still receive benefits, but the way it was imlemented was crazy, but mind you anybody who comes up with a system that is acceptable by all sections of society deserves a medal

You mean you met him twice Cyfr, I'd have thought once would have been enough for anyone

I'd do a great job.
I'd have him out within the year.

The Labour Party have been trying for 25 years and he's never had a majority less than 100, even in the days of the Tory Government

Cyfr and myself were discussing this at the weekend.
Nowadays I think it's certainly in his favour to be leader of the council, as people in Ossy think if you're going to have a councillor you might as well have one that is the one in charge, if only from a selfish point of view, and in the hope of getting more than your fair share of the budget. I get the distinct impression he isn't as popular outside of Oswaldtwistle.
The people of New Lane must be thrilled, as I suspect they have more traffic calming measures in place than any other stretch of road in the whole country.
Instead of that big sign flashing up your speed, and telling you to slow down, as you approach New Lane, I'm just suprised it doesn't say 'Alert council leader lives here.'
