Good afternoon, I chose this thread because it appears to get the most traffic!
I am looking for a Reader's Digest article. It was probably written in the 1980s or 1990s, and it was by George Harrison or about him. Maybe even the late 1970s. I had the copy of the magazine for years, but it got lost in my many moves. It could not have been any later than year 2000 - or at least that's what I think. I moved to Mexico in 2001.
Specifically the article mentioned that when the Beatles became immensely popular in 1963/1964. they still had contracts to fulfill in working men's clubs on weekends in places like ACCRINGTON (and I think another town was mentioned).
I do not have the means to check in libraries here in Mexico, and I doubt that they would have, say, the Reader's Guide in English.
I cannot find anything online. I thought that the article might have been a shortened version of a book, maybe even written by Harrison - the kind of shortened version the Reader's Digest published.
The New York Public Library sent me this, but this old man's eyes and fingers can't quite handle it

Anybody there remember anything about this article?
Thanks very much!
