Getting the council to review the road lines...

can it be done?

basically where i live there's a block with three houses adn parking for 3 cars

and across the road you have a single yellow line with parking from 8am to 6am prohibited

not really a problem in theory but then my house is on the corner of blackburn road where the shoppers AND shopowners to those places park too

so you've got 3 parking spots for about 7-8 houses/shops!

if cars are parked on both sides no obstruction is caused and trucks and fire engines can pass thru no problems.

yesterday i got my 3rd parking ticket in one month for parkin across the road - the one yesterday at 9.08am and considering i work evenings/nights there's no chance i would've woken up to move the car at that time.

so i was considering in asking the council to change the single yellow line and remove it all together would that be possible? if so where would i head to?

I think it may be LCC. It would probably be a good idea to get the opinions of everyone else in the area, which presumably will be the same as yours, to back up your case too.

willows right it becomes a lcc problem
highways they will listen to your request
then send a team of surveyers to watch traffic flow
and if youre lucky they will respond to your problem
