At this point in time, that dubious honour has so far eluded me.

Watch what you're saying, he's no-but a lad compared to me.
Prick my veins and you'd have to shake me to get any dust out.

Excellent meat, very tasty.
If you wanted to be sure it was fresh( no fridges!) you had to cut a steak off a live T-Rex, exciting but in those days men were men.
Never keen on mammoth burgers- all that hair got between my fangs.

Re: Giving Blood...
When I was 18 I went to the Ambulance Drill Hall at Bull Bridge to donate blood.
I stood in a long queue. As I neared the front, one of the nurses dropped a bottle of something. It smashed and two men in front of me passed out. If I hadn't been so near the front of the queue I might well have chickened out then.
Then there came the thumb needle prick, whereby the blood drop either sank or floated in some liquid in a small bottle, to decide whether or not you were anaemic or fit to donate. Mine sank half way and stayed there. The nurse was flustered at having to cope with the two men who fainted - she said I had 'passed'.
I laid on a trolley, gave blood, and had tea and biscuits afterwards.
I wasn't given any advice re 'do and don't' for the aftermath, and so that evening I went out for a drink with my husband. One gin and I had to rush out of the pub to be violently sick. I felt weak and weary for a week after.
I never went again - do you blame me?
When I got a card through the post it showed that my blood was rare.
Maybe they have improved how they do it by now but they put me off for life.
