Talking Re: Glorious, glorious summer.

With all windows open and my only door leading outside inviting every passing fly into my flat my indoor thermometer reveals that it is a cool 78 F today. Whatever breeze there is outside it seems to be avoiding me. Hang on I just saw the net curtain twitch. False alarm it was a fly pushing its way in.

Now if only I can persuade the 9th diver bomber fly squadron to leave by the front door I will have a peaceful snooze in mid afternoon.

If only I could get a couple of those old fashioned ‘fly papers’. You know the ones that you hung from some convenient spot on the ceiling and all flying insects would get attracted by the sweet scent, land on the paper and remain there until death. Much more humane than that electric blue light device. At least stuck on a fly paper the fly would depart this mortal coil with a full belly of the sweet stuff.

Re: Glorious, glorious summer.

as i always sit here in boxers it afforded every region a bit of breeze. since the op I can't stand clothes. funny that cos when I was young I never used to take my coat off, I used to sit two feet away from the fire, my hair would singe, now I'm rarely cold and can't stand tight clothes.
Lucky cos we haven't got kids, my ex didn't mind, but now I live on my own it don't matter. Suppose if I got wi somebody I'd have to buy loose clothes for the house.
