Re: Go vote!

Yes I voted - it's my right to do so, people fought for that right and so it would take a very rare situation for me to choose not to vote!

As for who I voted for - well, I'm not telling but contrary to popular belief it has been a very difficult choice for me this year.

Well that would probably be debateable, could I trust Rindi? um ha um well err, COULD I HELL

Well Neil its each to his/her own, but from the statement the ward is Spring Hill, and its quite a big ward and would take some canvssing especially with the weather we have been having

I told him they'd be one vote down because of you.

Re: Go vote!

I haven't had a vote this time.
Perhaps it's just as well, because although I am a lifelong socialist, and would love to see a local labour council again, I feel that a landslide tory vote would urge the labour party to get rid of Gordo.

I just waltzed straight past him, you know you don't have to tell the people outside the room who you are - they're checking voters so they know who to knock up later.

Re: Go vote!

Got the voting out of the way this morning. I didn’t see any Police there, there is normally a bobby hanging around, or is it only general elections that require a police presence ?

It's true, you don't have to give your number to the parties counting who turns up, but I didn't want them knocking on my door at ten to ten, knowing I as a party loyalist hadn't yet voted.

Re: Go vote!

I have voted but this must be the first year that I never received a polling card, good job you don't need it, but was concerned that they didn't ask for any ID, I could have just looked down the list and picked a name and said that was me!!!!!!

Re: Go vote!

I was disappointed I did not have the opportunity these elections for not voting for Janet Storey (C) this time. Ok .. my reasons, would have been facile (dare I mention the 'Silly Cow' incident, well just did I guess), but little things like this wipe out the rest of the good things she may have done for Clayton. Hate Liars, or more kindly, people who avoid the truth.

Rumour has it you might have the opportunity not to vote for her in the next General Election.

Though apparently Tory H.Q. aren't too keen on her being selected.

Re: Go vote!

well for the first time in 14 years i HAVENT voted, with only 2 candidates in the local election(labour and conservative) i decided not to bother, yes i know women fought for the right to vote but i dont agree with any of their policies so why should i be made to choose either or?
