Graffiti on post boxes

A few weeks ago there was graffiti on the post box outside Rhyddings Park on Fielding Lane so I had a look on the Royal Mail website. There is a form on there where you can report graffiti and they will come and paint over it within 2 weeks or within 48 hours if it's something abusive that is written.

They did as promised and it was duly painted out.

Since then I've looking at other post boxes and have reported the graffiti on the one near the co-op and the one at the start of Stanhill Lane.

I just thought I'd let you all know so that you can report any graffiti that you see.

Re: Graffiti on post boxes

I am the Director of a non profit here in San Francisco (originally a Dill Hall Lane kid) mentoring at risk youth particularly those who use graffiti as their outlet.
This is a $75 billion/year problem worldwide.

How is the graffiti problem being dealt with in Accrington. I would love to know...

Re: Graffiti on post boxes

As a more sensible response to Burningman's question, we don't seem to have a response, other than it occasionally gets cleaned off, although some kid got a jail sentence the other week, think he was originally from round here but his "tags" were all in London (I think) .
