Hairdressers

As you know, I´ve lived here for over five years now and can I find a decent hairdresser?

It´s so difficult trying to explain to a Spanish lass how I want it cut. As it´s shoulder length, thick and wavy, it´s not an easy task. The last couple of English ones which I have found cleared off back to England. I trust I wasn´t the cause!

Anyway, last October, I took matters into my own hands. It can´t be that difficult can it? What a mess! I´ve spent the last few months with it tied up hoping that no-one could see that the right hand side was so much shorter than the left!

Thankfully, I´ve now found Hayley. She came around today and sorted it as best she could. The choice was, either to have it short and start again or give it a good tidy and wait a couple of months for a decent style. I opted for the second and I´ve promised that I´ll never cut my own hair again!

Re: Hairdressers

A good hairdresser who actually understands what you want is hard eough to find here never mind in Spain. I had a lovely one and she did my hair and the girls' hair beautifully but then she left and went mobile and I lost her phone number!

Good to hear you got yours sorted out Junetta. I wouldn't dare tackle my own although I have done my daughters' at times.

Re: Hairdressers

All I know is that she's called Maureen and lives in Blackburn. Mimi told me that someone at school knows someone who knows her so she's supposed to be getting the number but we haven't got that far yet.

Re: Hairdressers

I used to change hairdressers regular - couldnt find one i liked. Anyway went to Plus 2 down accy and they made a right mess - they shaved the back of my head!!! Dont ask for photos - i didnt have any took. My sister in law at that time dragged me off to her hairdressers and i havent been to a different hairdressers since. Now that is - a simple guesstimate - about 20 years ago!

Re: Hairdressers

I do speak quite a lot of Spanish, Cashman. I wouldn't have survived so far if I didn't!

It just seems that the hairdressers here like to make everyone look the same. This one is carting on a bit cut it short or this is a youngster just trim the ends.

Hair is important and mine is level now!
