Yet again a certain 'peace loving' section of the community are up in arms about what they perceive to be discrimination. Were the population of Accrington, Blackburn or any other East Lancashire town consulted before the erection of CCTV surveillance cameras? If they aren't up to any skulduggery they've nothing to moan about.

unfortunatly some muslim comunities dont see themselves been answerable to UK law which led to a yorkshire top police man a couple of years ago saying publicly that some areas are impossible to police because certain comunities simply defy law and the police.

kinda reminds me of blackburn road in accy UK law dosnt seem to apply there either, well traffic law at least

It's ridiculous. We cannot have 2 sets of rules for different people in one country. It has to be one set of laws and if you don't want to abide by those laws bog off and live elsewhere

I'm not racist, I couldn't care less if they were bright blue with yellow spots on, we have laws in this land and they should be the same for everyone that lives here. I cannot understand why the cameras have been covered up?

The people that complained should have been told, " tough, everyone has them, get used to it or move!"
It's the do gooders that create the impression of some people as racists but I think people are getting sick of the laws being altered for a few

( sorry if I'm waffling, had a few cans watching so called football)

But we already do with Sharia Law creeping in ever so softly (a bad move for the women IMHO)

I for one, as a woman will NEVER follow Sharia Law. They can shove that one

Luckily for you it isn't on the cards but what happens when they use Sharia Law in conjunction with British Law? Just allowing Sharia Law a "foot in the door" so to speak is bad news for Muslim women. At least under British Law they stand a decent chance but under Sharia I real fear for the safety of women. And before folk jump down my neck I'm not being racist just realist, it is a bad thing for women with very little say in things

We had laws that have been adequate(well sort of) for god knows how many years, why do we need to incoporate other laws now???

The new government will probably take them all down.

They're very big on civil liberties, even in the face of terrorism.

Don't track them, don't photograph them, don't record their conversations, don't lock them up.

Suspected terrorists have Human Rights too, don't you know?

The Conservatives opposed every move to tighten laws, regarding the security threat of terrorism, when they were in opposition.

They're probably scurrying up lamposts at this very minute, to put more bags over any offensive CCTV cameras.

Bless their caring, sharing, liberally bleeding hearts.
