Not so sure about that Eric, any ex Squaddie who did Canada, more than likely spent some "Quality time!" In the Hat in particular the Sin-Bin (Assiniboia Hotel), Cheetas, the Silver Buckle, a little backstreet pub the Sun ? (by a railway) & at a push the Ming tree. Happy, Happy days !

The local RCMP certainly didn't & after some more thought I believe the Pub I put down as the Sun was in fact called the Corona & it had a shower on the stage !
