Re: Have You Bought A Microwave from Asda ?

I have had other appliances from Asda that have been perfectly reasonable...but branded goods rather than their own brand.......hubby coerced me into buying this bit of trash, saying we could use this until we saw one we liked better.(cheapskate)!

My Proline microwave came from Comet and has lasted over 7 years without a problem. But then I don’t abuse it.

Loss of nutrition using a microwave? Sorry but any loss will be dependant on in how much water and for how long it is cooked just like in an ordinary cooking method!

I prefer to believe Hans Hertel & Bernard H. Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute for Biochemistry rather than
Shereen Jegtvig (your 'certified nutrition specialist')

I have read your link - have you read mine?

I like using my microwave for doing scrambled eggs....it beats burning the pan, which I tend to do most the time

You can’t do scrambled eggs in a microwave.

For proper scrambled eggs you have to keep stirring them all the time and then take them off the heat before they are completely cooked. The internal heat finishes them off.

Try Anolon pans and stick a tiny bit of oil in the pan before scrambling. I could burn the ar$e out of any pan, but can even scramble eggs in an Anolon without it sticking..

Re: Have You Bought A Microwave from Asda ?

ok i took my micro back to asda today, stood in line with the others who were returning theirs, well i got my money back and decided to go and get another, the micro was only a cheap one as its hardly used, the cheapest that asda had was £34.99 now thats £15.00 more than i had paid for the recalled one, so i decided to buy one from argos instead.

Microwave = good for rapid warming up of baked beans and making soup explode, good at defrosting the mince you forgot to take out of the freezer, rubbish at everything else.
