I kept hearing about the Asda promise to be cheaper than Tesco - so decided to try it.

I had been to Asda, the previous day and had a receipt for £60-00 so entered it on the Asda website for comparison. (I was quite happy that the shopping was good value)

It took less than a minute to enter details and a further 15 seconds for an answer:

They apologised because Tesco would have been £1 odd cheaper and is refunding me with a voucher (printable) for £6-07 which is the 10% they promised........

If you are an Asda shopper, give it a go - - and let us know the result

I do this on a regular basis, but because there are only the two of us our shopping isn't usually a big amount........nevertheless, I have had vouchers for £1.44, £2.27.......and some for much smaller amounts, less than 50p.........I check out the price Guarantee every time we shop at Asda now. Nothing lost is there?

Do it after every shop. Have got the odd refund voucher, but not loads. As you say it doesn't take long, and is worth doing.

No Gremlin, it is really easy ........you have to put in the details from your receipt.......and on the site where you check, it shows you exactly where to find the details they want.

You have to wait until the day after you have done your shop.

Thank you Margaret, I shop on line every Sunday so I will give it a try on Monday when the goods arrive. Our bill is usually less than £60 and the delivery charge is £3.50 so every little helps.

My wife has the Wiltshire farm foods delivered every Wednesday as well.
