Did I tell you my scanner isn't at the moment set up and I'll have to set up the software, but with bogus callers these days we just can't be too careful!
Thinking about it once I do get a reply, I hope he has his passport on him, (fully stamped), because I have no idea what an official council I.D. card looks like but I would recognise a passport.

That's odd because ours weren't stamped when we went to Tunisia. In fact to look at them you'd think we'd never been anywhere at all but surely the passport has to be a valid ID because look at what you have to go through to get one with people of note signing photos to say they look like you and they know you are who you claim to be etc.
