I couldn’t agree more Garinda, having said that the reason behind the these trust publications is to meet regulatory requirement to ensure you’re right to be informed of what occurs in the sector and how money is spent. You yourself have made comments regarding information you have received from this publication. In that respect the trust as done its job.

But at what cost? People who care enough to access the information could go to their website, and not have it delivered to, I presume, every home in Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.

The method of thought is that not ever user will have access to a computer, nor will everyone want to go to the library, local trust surgery or out patients to get that information, and to be honest not many people would give a s***. If you really want to push up your blood pressure I can tell you the mags are made available in multilingual formats and will be resent to you in a language of your choice should you request a copy……?

Yes I know most people wouldn't give two hoots about the information included in the glossy magazine. People without acess to the internet could have been alerted to the information, and requested a copy if they so wish, through the much cheaper alternative of placing an advert in the local press, rather than delivery to every household in the area, most of which I presume went straight into the bin.

I've already seen that the back page is given over to informing us that the magazine is also available in four Asian languages, as well as in Braille and a larger print version as well.

Pardon me for wandering, although I must admit you do better than anyone I know………

In respect of the Magazine and the cost involved, it matters squat. Budgets are in place specifically to pay for it and a host of other informative documents that the NHS and Local Primary Care Trusts have to provide under regulation in order provide us with information that we apparently asked for.

We asked for?

I agree that when asked at election time, most people would say they would like more money put into education, the police force and the NHS.
But I think most people want the money spent on actual health, care not glossy information delivered to all and sundry, or salaries paid to the paper pushers.

Well I am not going to argue the matter much further because you’ll only stop lestening and get on your donkey again. The NHS is being run as a business and all businesses need to be managed. You will find that the NHS is top heavey with them but this is in part due to the nature of the Job. There is no Crown Immunity within the Health Sector, Emergency Services or Armed Forces. In part “and note that I say in part” in part the reason is to spread to trail of Responsibility and Accountability within the sector. In effect it’s spreading the load amongst a number of bodies, departments and individuals, why? Because no one would do the job if the responsibility and accountability was focused on one individual or group, the risks are just too high.

God forbid and people called me a perv. My dear friend I have no interest in anything less than natural born females under the age of 55. Flirt with you? Not everyone is charmed by your patter Mr Rindy I believe in each to their own so long has those that walk a different path don’t force it upon others.
