I bought a King Charles spaniel about 18 years ago, that was a retired PAT dog. She went for me as soon as I got her home, twice. It took about three weeks for her to settle down. The first time she jumped up on to my knee was so she could bit me again. She was passed on to my mother just after Christmas about a year after she puked up all over the house after eating Turkey for her dinner. She did turn out to be a fantastic pet in the end. Cats are for more of a challenge, they know for the care they give people, but like all felines their so bloody unpredictable, unless of course they adopt you then they just rule you for evermore.
