If anyone does end up choosing Symi, say hello to Mary and Mikhali for me - old friends. They own half the island now so you'll find them quite easily. They started off with one bar but now they've got half a dozen and one night club. Mary is English and the sister of a good friend, she's been in Symi for about 20 years now.
I've been to Symi on my own and to Kos on my own too and Symi is definitely safer. Sorry, it sounds like I'm on commission, I'm not, I just think you'd like it. Last edited by Gayle Knight; 18-06-2005 at 18:21. |

We've already decided where we're going next year - Croatia. I've heard such brilliant things about it. I went there about 20 years ago when it was Yugoslavia and it was good then. Has anyone else been?
