Re: Holland's Pies to be made in Ireland?
Even if it is, there is such a thing as local loyalty, although Holland's obviously don't show it, either to their employees or to their football club!

Re: Holland's Pies to be made in Ireland?
Hi just to clarify, provided by Radio Lancashire.
Fifty jobs could go at the famous Holland's pie factory in Lancashire. Parent company Northern Foods plans to transfer production of some of its pastry products to a site in the Republic of Ireland.
The company has said it understands it will cause concern for workers but added that production of pies at their Baxenden base would be unaffected.
Holland's was founded in Haslingden more than 150 years ago and became part of Northern Foods in 1979.
'Future innovation'
The company employs 550 people and produces around one and a half million pies each week.
An announcement was made on Wednesday that Holland's was proposing to transfer the jobs to Portumna in the Republic of Ireland.
Simon Clarke, business unit director for Holland's, said: "The proposal we are announcing supports our own future growth plans for Holland's Pies.
"It also enables us to offer customers a wider range of products and innovation for the future.
"We understand that today's announcement is likely to cause concern for those potentially affected and their families and we will make every effort to support those employees.
"We have already begun the consultation process with employee representatives."
