aside from the first few months - has anyone honestly used them longer term?

i've got a multigym i'm flogging on ebay and apart from the first 4-5 mmonths its just stood there. £350 gone.

and if you look at the classifieds you see so much where people have bought them and not used them!!

should've stuck it out at a gym

I understand that "bike riding is bloody good for u"; and bloody good for the planet too. What I can't understand is the fascination some people have for treadmills and shlt like that ... I mean, you can't get outside and walk! Instead of wasting money on exercise junk, get a dog. Not only will you have a BFF, you will be out walking every day. There is no big secret about exercise: just get out and bloody well do something: walk, run, ride a bike, swim, skate (sorry, that's a Canadian thing, eh) .... and your body will love you for it.

I prefer to take my excercise sitting down.
I tried to import one of these but the shipping costs from USA are exhorbitant.
If you see any on sale in Europe please let me know.

Paris has n excersise bike i bought her about 5 years ago, she still uses it daily, its all about mindset i reckon.

i have to agree with Ossywarrior, bike riding is an excellent way of exercising, i love my bike and i'm always out on it, i have extremely strong leg muscles to prove it
