How about Sponsor a page?

There seem to be quite a few things that get a mention on accyweb these days that are semi-official, somethings for charity events, some political, some for events theatrical etc.

Now all of these groups including some of the charity events must have a budget for advertising, so how about if they were to be offered the chance to sponsor a page on accyweb?

Let's just pluck a few examples out of the air,
A womans page for instance could perhaps be sponsored by international womans day.
A political page that gives the chance for an invited guest each week of any political persuasion, (not necessarily just to give us the chance to pull them apart), it would be very brave, if say the labour party would sponsor a page like that!
Or if some Am' dram' group instead of paying all their publicity budget into the Observer , they were to sponsor Nightlife, Events, Days out
I know these thoughts are probably pie in the sky but it might just assist Roy in maintaining accyweb for the rest of us.

Re: How about Sponsor a page?

A better idea might be that each member had to be sponsored.

I was going to post a few ideas that came to mind, but thinking I might be sued for libel, changed my mind

No.

The first six people and their sponsors I thought of were cruel beyond measure, yourself being included.

Deep down, having a heart of gold, I really couldn't be that mean.

Dear Less,
in answer to your pm, no I will not send you my list of suggested sponsors for individual members, as I think if you had it I could still get banged up.
Your's etc.,
Rindy.

Heart of Gold my aunt fanny's a***. Me cruel, now I’m hurt……………..as for not being that mean, you’ve outted me “so to Speak” as one of the six, so you might as well get on with so that we all know who we are.

Re: How about Sponsor a page?

This thread has made me realise what a battle I have to fight with my inner bitch.

Whispered into someones ear over a pint, they would be very funny, but in print they would appear hurtful and mean, something you know I am not.

Re: How about Sponsor a page?

Back to the thread, all of Less's original examples of sponsorship seemed to apply to Gayle. Is this coincidence?

In answer to that rindy I only said, you could send me mine, and I pm'd you so that you didn't have to go public, but privacy isn't something you seem to have an understanding of, so far as p.m.'s are concerned eh?

No rindy they are not a coincidence but if you will have a bit of patience nor are they intended to be bitchy which is the conclusion that you have jumped to, perhaps if Gayle can be given a chance to answer then all will be revealed!

(If she gives the answers I'm hoping she will give and she has her political head on!).
