Re: How far do you walk each day

Oh I forgot to mention that in the summer we all do a lot more walking when we're at the caravan.

Logically I should be very fit. Ha ha ha.

Re: How far do you walk each day

when i was in a certain job we used to count paces on flat ground 60 paces =100 metres so 10,000 steps would roughly be 6 kilometers ...
im lucky or unlucky whatever way you look at it ,being a bricklayer im on my feet all day so god knows how many steps i take ,lol i also have the added bonus of lifting heavy bricks and blocks ,and shifting mortar from a board onto the wall ...a trowel of mortar is light but taken over the hole day you would probebly shift ton and a half of mud !!! its ok folk you's can wake up now !!!!

Re: How far do you walk each day

I walk from Church to town via the school 5 days a week but I get a bus home. I then walk to school and back at home time. I walk anywhere else I need to go due to being unable to drive. I wonder if this will change if I pass my test next year?

Re: How far do you walk each day

Since I finished work at the pub, and then have passed my driving test, I do very little exercise at all compared to what I do do. Maybe i should use the stairs in the multi storey instead of the lift.

I bought a pedometer about 6 years ago and when I was working I would average 14,000 steps per day......some of these were up and down stairs to theatres.......on a Saturday doing the shopping I do about 7,000.....but during the week i don't do nearly enough......I am down on my knees most of the day......no, not praying for forgiveness...looking after kidlidids.
