The one thing I rue is not writing down all the funny literate things my children have said 'cause they were not aware of the metaphoric use of our language, especially when they are around 2 and half years. Sarah Kennedy has a book on this which she read out in her early morning programme on Radio 2.
Please do it parents, you won't regret it!!
Can't remember many now, just one when Jamie was, maybe around 5, and he was staring wide-eyed at a knife thrower on TV. Tension was mounting, drums rolling and then after the knife was targeted he disappointedly exclaimed. " HE MISSED !!" Believe me he was serious.
Tears rolled down my daughter and my eyes with laughter which weakened me glass of wine.
Moments like this should be looked back in reflective pleasure, so put it in yer diary .. you won't regret it.
