Re: how the news has changed
Why should prostitute murders in USA be leading the UK headlines when we've got enough problems closer to home ? Oh I forgot, it's Murdoch/The coalition you're poking at with your thinly veiled assumed disgust about not reporting what's important to the people of Great Britain in the headlines.
As a little reminder of things that were happening in the UK on the day of this blatant national outrage, I've included a link so the populace can be aware of the fripperies & insignificant news it was subjected to on the said date ! How dare the Great British public prioritise our news more important than a sad story from America !

C'mon 4 out of 10 for effort but you really need to do better Son ! But I'll give you 11 out of 10 for your consistent snide digs, can't be bettered !

Jaded Lad, jaded ! I could give you more credence if you weren't so politically motivated ! Everytime you raise an issue it's not for altruistic reasons & to raise awareness of the plight of the sorely abused & downtrodden of the World, it is purely so you can snipe at any party or establishment that doesn't adhere to your avowed & beloved ideals of his Tonyness & Broon, your Socialist saviours ?? Take a look at the link below :-
News Headlines - Headline Grabber - April 10, 12:34 pm
Now in amongst that little lot there are at least half a dozen or so news articles to get truly wound up & offended at so why not C'mon ?? Go on, Egyptian murders by troops against peaceful demonstrators, Gay men "ban" from giving Blood lifted, Tornado in Iowa, Icelanders vote against paying up. there's plenty to get your dander up so why not these stories ?? Because it doesn't suit your agenda !!!
You may well be a decent bloke to have a pint with & talk about Footy, sport & a plethora of things but not politics, because you appear to be a really bitter individual when it comes to politics, you & others like you irrespective of who you support are rabid in your views & dogma ! Sadly there's no talking to some folk when they're so narrow minded & insular.

when we were growing up we didnt pay attention to newspapers and the news on tv meant it was time to play out lol
i think the nearest i came to watching the news as a child was john cravens newsround and i doubt they would put news of serial killers and rapists on that unless they wanted to traumatise all the kids that hung around after blue peter lol

Too right you have...you've got to go through the on-line Daily Mail and copy and paste their stories on here!

Re: how the news has changed
Only time I read the news is when I'm waiting in the doctors surgery.
That Titanic was a bit of disaster though I thought.
