Re: How to ruin a street!

Some kind of protective shelter would be a good idea if possible - it would make more sense of an outdoor cafe too. I can see your point about the impracticalities but surely somebody can come up with a workable solution.

I suggested that idea on a thread some time ago - Willow thought it had some merit! As for varying heights of buildings...its not actually rocket science...to build something slanting or using height adjustment.

What does it do most days in Accy------yes that's right RAIN! and it also gets cold. An indoor town centre would be unique..and would benefit all!

HBC needs to stop playing around with these 0.3 million pound projects and have one real good 'un. Small ideas breeds small rubbish!

Get to thinking positive and big...make Accy something out of the ordinary!! We've nowt else to offer!!! :engsmil: :engsmil:

There you go Darby - you talking more sense than the council and not even a vote carrying British citizen any more.

Small people have small ideas. As my grandfather was often heard to comment, " You can't expect much, where there isn't much to start with!"

Or to paraphrase Churchill "Britcliffe is a humble man, with much to be humble about!"

Re: How to ruin a street!

I was searching for something else, and saw this thread, from before my time.

Interesting, and amusing, retrospective read.

I will make no mention of some people having crystal balls.
