Re: How would you vote in a General Election?

Takes a while to organise a postal vote so I wouldn't make it in time to vote tomorrow.

Theoretically I would normally vote Labour -don't feel able to vote for the present rather spineless formation so would rather abstain.

I have never followed the ideology of one single party.......personally I think it is flawed to vote for the same party, regardless of what they are proposing to do....saying that, their manifesto's are like reading 'Billy's Weekly Liar'.
Labour used to be socialist, but not any more, and not for a long time either.

I don't know about NEW labour...it should be BLUE labour...or perhaps a fetching shade of Lavender.

I'll be voting for the party with honesty and integrity............ oops that will be no vote then

If they had a 'Do Not Buy White Elephants' party they would get my vote

Once again I have to agree with you - what is the world coming to?
However I will probably finish up voting for the Tories - the thought of someone who is so fickle being our representative fills me with horror.
On a national scale I would certainly not support the LibDems - that is the same as a spoilt vote and can only result in them being Kingmakers and wield more power than they deserve. As for Labour, well, the thought of the Millibands or someone else making a Balls of it all just doesn't bear thinking about.

Monster Raving Loony Party...if there's a candidate. If not, I'm tempted to vote UKIP purely as a protest vote, but they're pretty right wing for my tastes.

I'm a classic floating voter, switched between the two main parties on a regular basis over the last 42 years. However, wouldn't give the time of day to either of 'em now, after they've both refused to give us a say in an EU referendum.

Well Barrie, I have always voted Tory, until the last election, when I spoiled my vote on a matter of principal and resigned my party membership, if I'm still around at the next I will be voting UKIP, as they are the only party promising to pull us out of that shambolic money wasting organisation the EU

I ticked "other" but does voting change anything - I don't think so really - less than 70% of the population vote in UK!

I agree it will never change much unless people get off the pot n even then unless the 3 main parties are rattled enough by the voting trend, sod all will change much.

Its a few more at general elections, think in 2010 it was around 64%, in 1987 it was 82% here in Hyndburn, but the overall trend is in a downward spiral and politicians have only themselves to blame

Re: How would you vote in a General Election?

polititions dont care about poor turn out at elections unless of course they are the ones that lost then they have somethng to blame. Most of them would rather do away with voting its just an inconvinience that has to happen every 5 years so it appears we have a say in anything.Lets face it once elected they do as they please and are answerable to no one with teh vast majority in the knowledge that peoples refusal to vote anything else other than what they were brought up to vote will keep them their seat unless they do something extreemly bad and distastefull.

a politition is more likely to loose hardcore voters if he or she bad mouths a x-factor contestant than if he or she was caught with a bag of cocaine and 5 hookers.

i for one dont recall any conservitive saying they wanted to read our emails, facebook accounts and anything personal we use our computers for when trying to get elected but they are trying to do it now but so did labour.

Place has got to be better now especially as Britcliffe has gone...even though he is still trying to get his pic in the observer...his record was about 8 times one week.

If you look on Google...the word TORY actually means, and I quote "to keep doing U turns".....LOL
