Human Rights gone mad?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4145325.stm
How the heck did he get away with this? Toenails too long!
Whether or not he is guilty or innocent as charged this is just making a total mockery of the justice system.
Discuss?

Totally agree. If he couldn't get shoes on he could have worn sandals.

In which case it is blatant racism and should not be tolerated.

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
He has been "perambulating around the prison barefoot" for the past few days. Apparently now he says he can't walk at all. Why don't they get him a wheelchair then?

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
The problem is that TB cannot interfere with the legal system. Much that he would like to.

Well said Willow, the first words of human kindness in the whole topic! Can none of you see the poor man is suffering? We need to Organise a Committee of like minded people that can head a ' Toe nail Clipper fund', in fact, just a minute I've an old pair of wire cutters here where can I send them they'll do at a pinch!
Lets get the UN to send in volunteers that could take on this drastic medical problem, no sorry that won't do will it because he has the human right not to except medical treatment for this pain that he is going through. All we can hope really is that this terrible, terrible situation will come to a quick end for him, perhaps if we all got together and prayed very, very hard God in all his wisdom could then turn this foot problem into something terminal!

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
Looks to me that he is not being a good Muslim.....
While people generally consider cleanliness a desirable attribute, Islam insists on it , making it an indispensable fundamental of the faith. A Muslim is required to be pure morally and spiritually as well as physically. Through the Qur'an and Sunnah Islam requires the sincere believer to sanitize and purify his entire way of life.
In Islam the Arabic term for purity is Taharah. Books of Islamic jurisprudence often contain an entire chapter with Taharah as a heading. Allah orders the believer to be tidy in appearance.
Cleanliness In Islam Is Of Three Kinds:
- Purification from impurity (i.e. to attain purity or cleanliness, by taking a bath (ghusl) or performing ablution (wudoo) in states in which a bath or ablution is necessary or desirable according to Islamic Law).
- To cleanse one's body, dress or place from an impurity of filth.
- To remove the dirt or grime that collects in various parts of the body, such as cleaning the teeth and nostrils, the trimming of nails and the removing of armpit and pubic hair.
It is not allowed to leave them for more than forty nights. This is based on the Hadith of Anas who said, "The Messenger of Allah set a time limit for us for trimming the mustache, trimming nails, removing armpit hairs and removing pubic hairs. They cannot be left for more than forty nights."2 [Recorded by Muslim]. Letting them grow long resembles animals and some of the disbelievers
Maybe he doesnt read the Koran or is just a terrorist masquerading as a Mulla.

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
It is perfectly obvious that the lawyers defending this odious creature realise that they have not got a hope in hell of preventing his conviction and extradition to the United States and are trying every delaying tactic that they can come up with.

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
Exactly, A-B..............but don't forget who's paying the lawyers through legal aid. If the taxpayer gets any change out of a million on this one, I'l be surprised.

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
Well.......... I will volunteer to cut his toenails (starting at his knees), and wheel him down to the courtroom free of charge (well there would be a slight electrical dis-charge - say 50000 volts).
I would also be available to cut his fingernails or those things that look like fingernails. But I must start at the elbows, with a blow torch!
The law is a joke...and he is making it look so!!!

Forget all the fuss of getting him to court and all the costs involved, just give me a gun and I'd save everyone the trouble.

Re: Human Rights gone mad?
Don't forget, folks, the poor man cannot cut his own toenails because he has no hands. Having only one eye doesn't help, either. The fact that he lost both hands and his eye because he was not the most efficient bomb-maker around is neither here nor there.
As for TB not interfering in the law - who says? Why do you think we have the Human Rights Act? SIMPLE - the barristers' chambers that leads the field in human rights (and collecting the dosh for doing so) is Matrix Chambers. Who is Head of Matrix Chambers? - Step forward Cherie Booth QC - also known as Mrs Tony Blair!
SURPRISE, SURPRISE.
If I made over half a million nice big smackers a year, I would consider being a Socialist - mind you, it does seem to pay.
Anyway, why can't that b****r Hamza bite his toenails off, he's obviously slippery enough.
