Or perhaps someone in charge believes in the adage, "No news is good news"?

Re: Hyndburn Council Web Site
Due to this years budget (or more to the point -lack of), the lackey who's punishment it is to trawl through all pertinent items in regards of said web site has been sacked ! And in Accordance with DC's Big society, we're sure a willing volunteer will step forward presently from the local peasantry.

Re: Hyndburn Council Web Site
This reminds me of a story about a neglected public website who had their domain name taken over when they 'forgot' to pay for it.
The person who 'bought' it used it to well and truly embarrass them.

Without a link, you are spreading rumour and hearsay, or maybe it's one of your local myth's? because I know someone that paid for a web site address and yet someone comes on here regularly and still claims it to originally be his!

Re: Hyndburn Council Web Site
The best one I ever heard was a bloke called Michael Rowe who set up www.mikerowesoft.com and was given firm instructions from Microsoft not to use it anymore.
Not sure of the legalities surrounding it as it was some years ago but it made me chuckle that one man brought on the wrath of a huge corporation like that.

In he words of Corporal Jones Ken, "they don't like it up um Captain Mainwaring" these big companies don't have a sense of humour

Someone at Scaitcliffe House must be keeping a watch on this site. The above has now been fixed! Many thanks.

Re: Hyndburn Council Web Site
Some one put their name forward to help maybe. If it was some one off here then the council paniced so they sorted it to be on the safe side. Who says the council dont listen. The answer to problems with the council might get less if the cop a lot of distain and grief on here.

Re: Hyndburn Council Web Site
Someone is paid to read this every day during working hours, simply to make sure nothing libellous is being written about the Leader's Office.
Even more of a reason to trim the fat next May, should the administration change.
