Unhappy hyndburn homes repairs: snowday

hyndburn homes repairs team have been sent home apparantly: a snow day, emergency or no emergncy....thats nice 4 them eh, home all nice and warm while we who have been waiting all morning with no call to say they are not coming out or will come out, with no boiler working (2nd day) and a glorified hairdryer to keep us warm, nice

I've heard of a few being sent home today, sat here waiting for the call telling me not to go in tonight

Council offices were closed as I came past at 4pm. M&S and Natwest have been closed.

buses stopped, schools closed, everything stopped..other countries seem to cope with snow, whenever it happens here everything stops. dar

Most of Accy town centre seemed to be open when i went down this morning...Boots was closed...not many people around mind!

I must admit I was suprised by Bernadette's post. I too thought most of the town was open when I had a look round. Quite a few market traders missing. Peel St had 3 shops closed from what I saw, Barbers, smaller of the 2 mobile shops and the fashion shop.

Possibly more shops shut early, I cleared off at 4pm because I had to walk home so had to make my hour up

ive just started a relationship with a blind woman !Its quite rewarding but quite challenging ! it took me ages to get her husbands voice right

No it wasn't empty shops Was about threeish and most of the shops on Broadway, in the Arndale and on Union Street were shut

Must have shut early then, because most in those areas were open when i was down at around 10 am.
