Hyndburn Road

Apologies if this is a well worn topic, but is it really true that a £4m Super Mosque is being built on the land between Matalan & Daltons printers? If so, I must've been living under a rock for the past 10 years.

Fair enough if people are informed of whats happening & given a chance to oppose any plans. It's when it's all rushed through quietly & the first thing you know is the giant dome and minerets being the first thing that greets you as you enter Accrington.

Maybe I'm in the minority these days!

The one that is being proposed is smaller than what was originally planned.
Room for 1000 worshippers rather than the 2500 that was originally projected.

Normal, tactics then, for anyone, apply for something silly, have it rejected, revise plans down to what was originally wanted, objectors are happy with compromise, you are happy you got what you wanted.

And so life goes on.
