I'm still on British Summer Time.

Your yesterday is like my today.

Plus I could hardly hear it, sat in the privy, at the bottom of the yard.

Only spotted two, but I'm only part way through. Will update as and when.

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

Can anyone explain to me why we need a shower in the market hall? I was going to make the question longer and more involved, but I just can't. If someone can be bothered please do.

Could be because it's now an arts venue.

You know what divas are like.

Mariah Carey wants white flowers, and red smarties.

Damien Hirst only drinks Cristal.

Perhaps Knitty Nora demanded a shower, at the end of a had days gonk making.

Is there a collective noun, for a group of Peter Britcliffes?

Oh silly me.

You meant he's pictured, in a group.

What a pity.

Guessing the name for a group of 'em could have been fun.

Would it be a "Herd" as in elephants?

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

He's fired up the SatNav and is visiting somewhere called Rishton this evening to present a cheque.

We have categorically been asked by the beneficiary not to use it for political purposes, presumably meaning it cannot be used in The Accrington Observer, the Lancashire Telegraph or any election literature. Whilst I am perfectly happy with this arrangement I simply cannot believe that the picture won't appear somewhere as another piece of 'good news'.

It will also feature Cllr Horne, currently promoted as saviour of the village who is up for election in May...

As posted before, the local Parkinson's disease support group gratefully received a donation from HBC to help fund our accommodation expenses, for the past two years.

It was only in the second year that I suggested the cheque was presented publicly, and publicised. The first year the cheque just arrived in the post.

At no point was the idea raised by anyone other than myself.

The money was much appreciated, as was the publicity, which resulted in us reaching new people who have Parkinson's.

I would sign this petition, but can't, as I am not a member of Facebook.
I don't want to join Facebook just to sign the petition.

Quite a different scenario and I'm glad that the money helped you, just as the people in question in Rishton are grateful for their grant, but I've seen some shocking jerrymandering of events over the past 12 months to realise that nothing is outside the realm of opportunism if there's political gain to be made.

I'm hoping against hope that tonight will be an exception.
