Public opinion has now been taken in to consideration and Sunday has now been added to the list of closing times

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

I just received this
Quote:
Protective Marking: UNCLASSIFIED
Many thanks for your query dated 1.2.11.

We are in the process of re-locating the public toilets at Peel Street to
new improved toilet and disabled facilities in the adjacent newly refurbished Market Hall.

To clarify matters, Peel Street toilets are not being completely
closed and remain open on the main trading days of Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday meaning
there are extra facilities available on these busy days.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these changes.

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

Looks like we all got the same reply so if you use the peel st bus services or trade monday, wednesday and sunday you have to use the market, lose business or miss buses to take a long walk and possibly queue for a widdle - great use for the public is that!! All so that the market can justify its white elephant expensive existance and keep one cafe owner happy at the expense of the outside traders and general public - it stinks!!

It's not like the rest of us bring people in to the town. We've only had some of our regulars from Nelson & Clitheroe today. We've also got an enquiry from a school in Germany but when I send the quote back I'll tell them to come and see us on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday

Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

Maybe they have found the 750k in the pot

Now we know where it wasn't spent. Its been bunged

Seems a great way to increase footfall, and try and justify what they have been trying to achieve all along. Email sent

Though you can always troop to the Market Hall.

March across the floor.

Mount the stairs.

Walk through the balcony cafe, and hey presto!

Lavatorial relief.

You can't help wondering if someone had opened their business in one of the many empty properties that line the town centre streets, there perhaps wouldn't have been the same fiasco, about enforced six day trading, and the closure of the toilets, except those up stairs in the Market Hall.

correct me if i am wrong but dosnt that route take you through the cafe owned by peter britcliffs son.The very same owner who joined here and had posts removed for advertising and been extreemly rude to members.Sounds like people are been hereded towards one particular buisness to fill empty seats.

its a bit like how in the old days in the wild west they cut off water supplies to force people one way or another except in this case its cutting off water works
