CHILD killer Ian Huntley revealed the truth about his crimes on a secret tape he made before his failed suicide bid, sources said today.
The tape is expected to reveal the gruesome details of his murders of 10-year-old schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002 in Soham in Cambridgeshire.
It is believed to have been found during an investigation at Wakefield high security prison in West Yorkshire, where Huntley was found unconscious in his cell at 1.19am on Tuesday following a suspected overdose.
Huntley, 32, is understood to have swapped the tape for anti-depressant pills from a fellow prisoner which he used to try to end his life.
Huntley could have been dead by the time the existence of the tape came to light, but the actions of an alert security guard ,,,,,

Re: Ian Huntley In Hospital

Chrikey imagine the cost of house insurance if next to a prison like Wakefield. The prison is a good excuse not to move to the town.

"HMP Wakefield was originally built as a house of correction in 1594. Its long and illustrious history has been documented in a superb publication called ‘Round the Mulberry Bush' written by a previous governor."

Always thought that was a nursery rhyme.

"Wakefield houses a Close Supervision Centre (CSC). The unit is a small therapeutic centre aiming to provide a supportive, safe, structured and consistent environment for some of the Prison Services' most challenging prisoners."

Is this not a fancy way of saying they have a baby sitting service? Thing is what are the most challenging prisoners?

Would depend on how safe the prison actually is. Suppose it is the same as with building houses around footy stadiums is the purchase worth the noise. Then again they may be cheaper because of there location.

The newspapers know where she is and what her new name is but they are prevented from printing any of these details or indeed any details about her which could lead to her being identified.

Even though Maxine Carr has been given a new identity, surely she'd be recognisable.

This is the trouble with these lifelong anonymity orders. She probably will have altered her appearance but the picture of her in the public's mind is still the one we saw splashed all over the newspapers during the trial.

Therefore innocent people have been mistaken for her and they have been threatened and attacked.
