Looks like something that a wrestler would wear. If worn by hoodie hoolis I wonder how they would feel if the police hid their mush and number when roughing them up. Oops sorry arresting them.

Wooly Balaclavas were sensible winter headwear in 1940s
I knit one for my brother
This is a variation on an old theme
Shame that the practice of protecting the face from winter weather has been abused by IRA and muggers.
A nylon stocking over the head produced scarier results IMHO.

Must say I would feel intimidated if confronted with someone wearing one of these. But then again I feel intimidated when I see a gang of youths with their face visible.

I would not let my kids wear them apart from Halloween... but that said its no different than the Niqab :

I think there maybe a world of difference between traditional Islamic dress and a cheap, tacky hoodie from Birmingham market. How about the religious aspect of the niqab; you really can't compare the two.

at the height of hostilities in northern ireland
it was against the law to wear anything
that bore any resemblance to this type
of attire i see no difference
