I am nearly sure that the farm land Fern Gore was built on and the area you mentioned garinda, was called Dunnyshop Farm.

Can't see one.
Because you can't cut 'n' paste the maps, if you put my postcode BB5 3NF into the search, you will see the area marked by that name on the map.
(Please don't send me postcards from your hols, now you have my postcode.)

Re: Interesting site
I've got a photo of Dunnyshop somewhere, like you've mentioned it's a group of farm buildings. I'll try to find it and post it here.
Cracking site find by the way.

Re: Interesting site
I can't believe how much Ossy and Accy have changed since the 60's, And it is good that the 60's photo's are alot better quality than the 40's.

Re: Interesting site
The 1960's map was fascinating.
I wonder what year it was taken?
Amazing to see the area north of Hawthorn Avenue, as well as the area below High Street, as open countryside.

Re: Interesting site
Garinda
They are just starting to build Queens Drive at the top of Hawthorn Avenue, they started building it in 1963, hope this helps.

Re: Interesting site
You can even see the long gone, well planted, flower beds in Rhydding's Park.
