No its not by immigrants from Eastern Europe or from the Indian sub-continent or from the Middle East but from across the pond.
They are here, they’ve established a bridgehead and woe betide any grey squirrel (and red I suppose) that gets in their way. How the black squirrel crossed the Atlantic is a bit of a mystery but they are here, they are ‘orinary and do not tolerate any other squirrels in their newly established patch. I’ve borrowed the picture from the Internet.

we like squirrels as well.... we feed them raisons in the park lol
they like prawn cocktail crisps as well the squirrel in the pic looks like my cat when she is being nosy lol
