View Poll Results: Outside sporting events, are flags seen as right-wing?
Will someone please explain why they fly a flag.
What purpose does it serve?
same question could be asked of any nation, probably cos they want too., makes em feel good, makes em proud to be that nationality, could be anything? personally couldn't care less, if it makes people happy, good on it.

I suppose for the same reason people have football scarves, or wear badges. It gives them a sense of belonging.
Some people find comfort in knowing there are similar people to them, and feel a need to proclaim it. Whether it's supporting a football team, being of the same nationality, or faith, being a member of the Caravan and Camping Club, or even being a conspiracy theorist.
Some people like to share with the world that they aren't alone.

Not to worry, you will be forgiven, by most of us, you are obviously a Windows person, the number of times it asks, 'are you sure?' confuses the best of us!
