That would depend on the gift. A bike would be a waste of money at this stage but there's no harm in buying her a couple of dresses, cuddly toys or maybe a baby gym. My two liked lying under a baby gym for short periods from a young age. They like looking at the bright objects and lights.

Don't go overboard though. No point in spending too much, wait until she's older and more aware of what's going on.

Yes her first Christmas will be next year and she'll be just the age to notice what's going on. It will be a very lovely first Christmas.

Isn't the whole point of Christmas presents for children so that they can wake you up at 4 a.m., making a lot of noise, then be so tired by tea time they (and you) have a massive tantrum? Well if she decides to do that this year it'll be all your own fault.
