Is your computer haunted?

Bloody Hell! I've had the weirdest experiance. I've just been sat here comparing numbers on a sheet of paper to numbers on the screen when I noticed the cursor going round in circles. Hey up! A virus, I thought..........then I looked down and the mouse was making little circles.

Before you ask - no, I've not been drinking. So what is the explanation for this phenomena?

Re: Is your computer haunted?

I would possibly suggest you consider one of the following.

You’ve got a tremor that’s vibrating your desk.

Your p*ss*d again and don’t remember the fact that you had 18 pints last night.

Your about to get a visit from Yvette Fielding with an OAP sorry, I mean VIP invitation to take part in a Most Haunted Special entitle “A p*ss*ed old fart and apparently dancing mouse”.

You’ve got a freaky mouse.

Garinda is hiding under your desk with a magnate.

Laser controlled mouse? Do you mean wireless? I have a full wireless system and I can tell you that the only thing going round in circles is me..

Re: Is your computer haunted?

Mine is just an ordinary mini wheel mouse, it quite often moves the cursor up the screen slowly for no apparent reason...
But it doesn't move about on my mouse-mat!...
If it was an optical mouse it would explain it but as its not mine must be haunted too lol

Re: Is your computer haunted?

Look...the mouse is a proper one, none of this wireless stuff. It has a wire coming out of it and that wire plugs into the back of the computer. The mouse sits on a mouse mat. About 2 hours ago, I looked and the mouse was moving from side to side and the cursor was making circles on the screen. What is the explanation, please?

I can't think of an explanation Tea. Have you tried a bit of percussive maintenance....... It usually works for my electrical items...

I don't know if your computer is haunted......but I had a very weird experience with mine a few years ago. It was the day my mother had been diagnosed with Cancer.....she was being nursed on the ward where I worked. I came home and after tea came upstairs to switch on the computer.....it went immediately to a blue screen......the sort you get just before the screen saver comes on......and slap bang in the middle of the screen was a drop down box with the words 'I'm here' in it......the box stayed visible for maybe 5 seconds and then FADED. I have never, ever had anything like that happen to me before or since.

I thought I was going a bit puddled......but at the same time there was a strong smell of cigarettes........so I took it to be my dear departed Dad......It shook me a bit, I can tell you,

Why not pop along to your local spiritualist Church and see if anything comes through for you to confirm it. It’s now’t to worry about and not all Mediums are charlatans, better still if their certified.

Re: Is your computer haunted?

Doug......I did that.....and nothing, zero, zilch.......but my Dad always denied that there was any sort of after life......so I know that he would never ever reveal himself in such a situation. The interesting thing is.....he was very much into electrical stuff and communication......he was a Radio Amateur.......and computers would have just been up his street. There is no way that the smell of cigarette could come from anyone in the house as no-one smoke in my house.
