It could be worse. You could be like France.
Equally bewildering, if not more so is the situation in France.
Watching the pending French election, admittedly from afar and with only a casual interest, I understood there was about to be a substantial vote for Le Pen and her party providing them with a ruling majority.
So two voting sessions over two weekends an lo and behold Le Pen comes in Third Place.
So how did that happen?
Was the press so completely wrong?
Did the outcome get "organized"?
Was this a smoke filled back room deal?
Or is the French election system even more pliable than that of England or the U.S.?
MoreJoe goes off muttering in the corner reconsidering his concept of democracy.
