Why, I actually heard the statement from a Labour councillors own mouth, when asked why, after speaking in the council chamber in favour of a motion put forward by the opposition, said he had no option as they were told how to vote

Why, if you notice it was started as a political thread as salting roads and pavements is down to the elected authorities

Re: It's A Good Job Everybody Stays In The House On Sundays
We haven't had much snow yet ... winter has been mild so far, even the geese are still around. But when it comes, and come it will, this is how we handle it:
City of Kingston, Ontario, Canada - Snow Removal on Streets and Sidewalks
Oh, and if there is an AccyWeb party, and if they win an election, I would like to be High Commisioner to Canada. All I would need is an igloo in Ottawa, and free beer

I would gladly second your nomination Eric, wouldn't mind becoming the Ambassador to the Holy See myself, don't think i'd get away with Papal Legate

How do we break this to you without causing offence?
When AccyWeb's freedom party gains control of Hyndburn, would you be the sort of Country we could align ourselves to?
Your policy for Human rights would have to be called into question, after all could we really align ourselves to a land with no torture, rape or murder of minorities, we now have made our bed and must stand by our present Councils support for those well trained and practiced in the above arts.
P.S. We are in principle 95% in favour of ignoring anyones wishes for a referendum about the E.U. (Please don't tell anyone this, it's just between you and me, any leak of this kind of information would be a vote killer, and we don't want the mugs , erm sorry I mean the electorate to know this).

How about this:
Rae calls Attawapiskat 'our Third World' - Canada - CBC News
It's not actually torture, rape, and murder; but it must be nasty enough to get us some recognition.

Excuse me but, the chair doesn't recognise you, the table and the wardrobe seem to have their doubts as well!
