It's a sad day today...

For those who knew him, and most people do because of the news coverage of the story, its Adam Riaz's 1 year anniversary of his death today and I would like to request that everybody remember how brave he was during such a sad and horrific time for someone so poorly yet so brave as Riaz. He was only 17 when he died and had so much to give everyone even when he was so ill. He was a generous and lovely person and I miss him really greatly, and I think he was amazing during those last few weeks. Nobody could possibly say a bad thing about him and I'm rambling a bit now but I really really just would like to bring him to your attention today. I'm not sure if there is another thread about him that I've missed but this one is my own dedication to him.

R.I.P. Riaz,
I'll always love and miss you.

Can't believe it's been a year already.
Met the guy a few times down t'delfi and couldn't say a bad word about him.
Such a sad event. I truly hope you and your family are in peace now, Riaz.

Nice tribute Blazey. I remember how he looked at the family funeral. Hopefully they are all at peace together now.

Yes I wish I had never had to see him that way, though I am filled with guilt that I was so selfish when he was ill. I avoided him when he was going through chemo because I was afraid to see him so ill and I think about it every day. My only comfort was that I managed to talk to him properly before he died and tell him I loved him. Just wish I was at home right now so I could go to his graveside but I have to wait until the weekend.
