When I was a paper lad, I used to do the mornings, which if you think about it was more of a chore than the evenings, I had to deliver allsorts of papers, the lad on evenings just put out the Telegraph.

I never saw any of my customers except for the fortnight before Christmas, when they would lie in wait for me to put the paper through the door and then spend five minutes giving me a dressing down for having put a note asking for a tip with the evening paper, I could never convince them that wasn't me! However I did find out that the guy doing the evenings would end up with between £5 and £10 which at the time was almost a working wage, did he share it with the bloke doing the morning round? DID HE, EXPLETIVE DELETED!
