The ironic thing about online newspapers is they are blamed for the dwindling sale and ultimate end of paper newspapers. I personally suspect it is the paper copies that fund the online versions and if the paper copies disappear so will the online ones.

Seems to me the news stories on-line are often edited versions of the print edition , maybe its an age thing but I find myself printing out lengthy articles or book reviews of 3 or 4 pages or more . Seems to be a growth business in on-line book publishing , but can't for the life in me see how anyone can relax and read a book whilst sat in front of a PC moniter.

But some of us don't have the choice of home delivery of the "Observer". However, I do like the paper copy of the local rag ... it's a favorite ritual of mine: the first coffee of the day, the "Whig", and off to the flush.
