Re: Kids say the darndest things.

Not embarrassing but very cute

We were trying to think of something to make for tea the other day, my youngest pipes up and she says "If you ask Thomas I bet he will want body parts pie."

She meant steak and kidney pie ........

Re: Kids say the darndest things.

I've had one of these funny moments today with my daughter. On Friday night we went to a party at one of the local hostelries where the landlady is lesbian. Known her for years and we have a laugh about me not being served because I'm a dingle.

As we were leaving on Friday I was telling her we were moving to Accrington and she said to my 10 yr old daughter, oh you can come and work behind the bar for me when you get older. My daughter answered her with a resounding no.

Whilst recalling the tale to a relative today my daughter decided to tell us why she said no. " It's because she is one of them". With a puzzled look on my face I said "Because she is a lesbian " and she replied, " No thats not a problem, it's because she is a Blackburn fan "

Now that is funny, but think more of an adult darndest things, than a child .. You presumed in an adult way.

Re: Kids say the darndest things.

My granddaughter, aged 7, going to bed tonight asked her mum why babies come out of ladies' bottoms and not their mouths, why boys can't have babies and why boys have willies. Mum answered each question honestly and simply. So far, so good.

Re: Kids say the darndest things.

My daughter, aged about 5, once answered the phone to her Dad who asked for me and I heard her say "Mummy can't come to the phone right now. She's just gone upstairs with a strange man"

Fortunately my husband knew that the plumber was due to call that day to discuss the resiting of an upstairs radiator.
