knackered already

yesterday while shopping the rain came down and broadway was again a mass of puddles

now i know i shouldnt laugh but my 2 year old learnt the hard way not to run on dodgy workmanship and went belly down into a puddle of water after loosing his footing in the ditch filled with water

should i put a claim in against HBC for the £1.00 spent in poundland on kitchen roll to dry him off ..?

Re: knackered already

Get him a set of water skis and sue the council for what you can but considering the financial mess they have the proberly couldnt pay and have lapsed on the insurance premium.

Re: knackered already

Just wait until a puddle there freezes over and we get people slipping on it and breaking legs. There'll be some claims going in then.

Should we send the claim to God for making it cold enough to freeze after He made it rain. Or maybe because He decided to make ice slippy in the first place, after all with a bit of forsight He could have made ice grippy.

Is it HBC's fault or the contractor who did not lay the surface correctly I wonder. We have a similar problem with some block paving in Oswaldtwistle near the main door of the Co-Op. It is sinking causing the path to look more like a sand dune. Why? Because the armoured Securicor type truck that fills up the cash machine parks on it.

Re: knackered already

Falkirk High Street has the same problem with the way it was built then add the section they left as cobbles and even wet the cobbles are slippy no need for ice. The council will not replace the cobbles as it is part of the "caracter" of the area around the steeple.

And how do you know that?? Have you been monitoring securicor's movements for any reason??
