Re: Lap Dance Club

£500 a night sounds pretty good to me -4 Saturdays a month and you can be earning as much as some people get on benefits, and it's good excercise. Might get the odd free drink thrown in too...

Over inflated prices to look at over inflated body parts. But no doubt some will fall for it.

Perhaps Rev. Kev is just scared he'll get so overcome, and giddy, if he walks past this place, he'll lose his deposit.

Just as he did in the last General Election, when the good folks of Hyndburn decided he wasn't worthy of their vote.

I don't really care whether a lap dancing club opens in Accrington, because I could never see myself ever visiting it. Sounds to me like a corner of hell.

What I do care about is the importance of the Council making the decision by due process, on the basis of planning rules and regulations. That includes access, security, noise, compliance with fire regulations, etc etc

Under no circumstances should a decision for refusal be made because some pathetic little religious bigot objects to it.

Quite agree Leon, the days of the church breathing fire and brimstone have long gone, maybe if people like Rev Kev concentrated more on today's life needs and refrained from telling everybody how they should live their lives, maybe there would be more than just a handful of people attending church on Sundays

I think its rather poignant really the lady signing the petition was carrying a bag saying no to plastic bags, there's a message there somewhere

Its ironic really, you'd think that people would have better things to do than stand about accy centre on a Saturday afternoon, they could have gone to Nottingham and made a difference there

Groove thinks any objectors to this club need'nt worry because once the novelty has worn off and people realise the price of such entertainment, it will die a death. Such clubs only work in towns/cities with an already thriving nightlife frequented by groups of drunken blokes on stag do's.....Groove does'nt think people will choose Accy over B'pool or Manchester when on such nights out.

He was getting quite a number signing today.

He also had a disciple, away from the trestle table, clip-board in hand, chasing people who'd given them a wide berth.
