Re: large explosion!!!!!

This is probably wide of the mark but, how strange that this should happen just days after it was announced in the press that Bin Laden's second in command had called for attacks against the oil industry.

Re: large explosion!!!!!

Maybe it is a coincedence but it is one hell of one. I have got this urgent need all of a sudden to leave Grangemouth.

We've got family down that way. Busman's brother said they were woken up by the bang. The black cloud is massive!

Re: large explosion!!!!!

The long term environmental effect must be a worry. I heard there were concerns that when it next rains it will be black and that would affect the water and the milk supply (cows eating polluted grass)!!!

Re: large explosion!!!!!

Surely that black cloud will lead to long term health issues regardless of what the experts are saying.

Re: large explosion!!!!!

It's a clear blue sky here today, slightly damp this morning. There must have been some serious digital manipulation occured in the press rooms yesterday evening because the "Black Cloud over London" pictures, published in today's papers, bore no resemblance to what could be seen from the ground yesterday, which was nowt. I probably spoke to about 50 people yesterday & not one person heard the explosion (supposidly hard in Holland); in fact 3 or 4 of them were not even aware of what had happened. A bit of a blaze, thats all.
