How amazing is this. Due to be completed in 2008 it will be between 700-800m. Canary wharf is just 240m.

I bet you'll be able to see the new Wembley Stadium if it's finished, never mind Canary Wharf, from your pad in the Dubai sky.

Re: like my new home???

though i have to wonder - with the palm island thing being built and the world being built and now this too

is there enough money and spoilt rich ppl in this world to buy so many properties???

fair enough the dubai emir is a rich bloke and realises now that his country has no oil it must rely on tourism but this is one hell of a risk strategy

but i guess that risk strategy is what made emirites airlines what it is now and the port company being able to buy out p&o was an initial risky move

wow!!!! thats a fantastic structure. I have been impressed with the recent TV documentary series on structures called 'mega-structures'. Not sure why a phallic symbol is disguising, useless of course you have a problem with an embodiment of generative power.

Question chav "which radical Jewish sect is going to pinch a plane to do it?" Dont think mosad has any suicide bombers.

Re: like my new home???

well i'm still thinkin twice

it doesnt have a view of hyndburn river so i'm not really warming to it

and it promised me a level all to myself so i wont have annoying neighbours who instead of walking up and down the stairs seem to stomp every living second...

adn to top that dubai shopping just hasnt got that accy broadway selection of fine shops

*sigh* choices choices choices

jimmi - u wud've thought htat apart from the fact that there's quite a few more buildings in the pipeline to break height records. at the mo its the taipei tower and the reason this dubai place isnt sayin how tall its gonna b is cuz it doesnt want rival buildings to think bigger

?
The UAE has enormous crude reserves that rank 4th in the world. The country's recoverable oil wealth is estimated at 98 billion barrels, the fourth largest after those in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran.
